Air Fryer for the Keto Lifestyle - Review!
Air Fryer…It’s the next kitchen appliance craze! So what are they? And do you need one?
We’ve had our Air Fryer for about a month now and have had a ton of fun with it! An air fryer is basically a tiny convection oven that blows hot air around your food. You can choose the temperature and time, or depending on your air fryer, a pre-set cooking method. The result is a crispy, tasty dish that the whole family loves!

We got the DASH 2qt Air Fryer. It’s great for appetizers or single meals, but a little small for much more. We can fit 5 or so drumsticks in there, one grilled cheese, or 7 bacon wrapped shrimp. If you’re cooking for a family, I would recommend you get a larger one in the 5qt range. The Ninja Foodi is a great option as a combo Instant Pot and Air Fryer and eliminates the problem of too many appliances on your counter! We’ll probably bring our 2qt Air Fryer to the cabin this summer. It will be perfect for crispy drumsticks when we don’t want to heat up the charcoal grill, or a veggie side dish when we cook steaks or burgers!
Pro’s:
*I can cook my food quickly and efficiently
*You can check on your food and put it back in - don’t have to worry about pressurizing like an Instant Pot
*Doesn’t heat up my kitchen
*Easy to clean
*Don’t need oils to get crispy fried food!
Cons’s:
*Takes up additional space on the counter
*Have to flip or toss your food
*Can’t fry your food in “good” fats like butter and coconut oil
